Starting next Advent, the new changes in the liturgy will take place. A number of parishes have been publishing articles and other materials regarding the change. We have intentionally been waiting to discuss the changes so that they would be taking place closer to the time of its implementation. With this goal in mind, you will start posting a series of articles and websites resources pertaining to the changes in the near future.
The changes are fairly small and will reflect a truer interpretation of the Latin text. These changes will reflect the wording found in the current Roman Missal that is used in other countries. These changes will only be found in the English edition of the Missal because the missal in other languages has been truer to the Latin since the 1970s. Most of the changes are on the part of the priest, with a few changes for the congregation. Please look for articles and explanations in this page as we prepare for the changes on the First Sunday of Advent.
