Seeds of Faith Small Group Reflection

Wednesday, May 9th in the School Library

Seeds of Faith meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm in the school library. Our monthly meetings are a great way to connect one-to-one with other women in the parish. We gather to pray, break open God’s word, learn, support each other, and share our faith stories. All women are welcome to attend Wednesday evening of reflection or special monthly event as your schedule allows. No need to join, we love having you whenever you can be there.

Saturday, May 19th from 12 Noon to 3 pm

Tea party and homemade sandwiches at the Pickwick Society Tearoom in Frankfort, IL. We will leave from Mary’s Plaza parking lot at 11:15 am. We will need a few drivers. Our tea party will start at 12 Noon with lunch and tea. Cost will be $20.00 per person.

Seeds of Faith monthly special events are designed to nurture the heart of a woman through Scripture. All women are welcome to attend second Wednesday evening of the month of reflection or special monthly event as your schedule allows. No need to join, we love having you when ever you can be there.

Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 11 am to 3 pm
Praying the Labyrinth - Come be a part of walking the ground at The Portiuncula in Frankfort, IL, a Franciscan Retreat Center. We will be walking the Labyrinth, a method of silent prayer as you walk outdoors in the fresh fall air. We will also take a look with a small reflection of the beautiful fall colors a special gift from God. Sue will lead us in this prayer and reflection. After we are done we will have lunch. We will need a few drivers. We will meet in the parking lot of Mary Plaza at 10 am.

Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm
Mission Outreach - We will be sorting supplies by medical category, counting and packaging supplies for example separate gloves from tubing, patient gowns, sutures, etc... This warehouse is located in Bedford Park. We will need a few drivers. We will meet in parking lot of Mary Plaza at 12:45 pm. We will stop at Panera Soup for lunch after. Please RSVP by November 15th by calling Sue at 773-445-9539.

St. Therese of Lisieux, A Dramatic Presentation - Starting at 9:30 am to 12 Noon. Fee: $20.00 per person. Located at the The Portiuncula in Frankfort, IL. We will meet in parking lot of Mary Plaza at 8:30 am. We will need a few drivers. Lunch after not included in the $20.00. Please RSVP by November 20th by calling Sue at 773-445-9539.

Centering Prayer - Our Guest Speaker will be Sue Carter at the Ministry Center. We will be learning the art of Centering Prayer. Panera Soup and Bread will be served after. Cost: $20.00 per person. Please RSVP by January 9th by calling Sue at 773-445-9539.

Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 2:30 to 4 pm
The Life of Dorothy Day is an acclaimed one women play about the co-founder of the Catholic Worker movement, who spend 47 years caring for the poor and leading the Catholic Church to a more active concern for the needy in U.S society. The location of this play is at St. George parish in Tinley Park. We will meet at 1:30 pm in Mary’s Plaza. We will need drivers. Please RSVP by February 10th by calling Sue at 773-445-9539. This performance is free.

Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 10:30 am to 12 Noon
Sacred Sound Immersion by Patricia Caldwell - This is a truly incredible experience. Where Healing Sound Circles are an experience of active participation, Patricia will meld the vibrations of the Tibetan singing bowls with her voice in a guided journey that concludes with sacred toning. You’ll have the opportunity to relax in silence for a few minutes afterward. You will leave the room feeling soothed, inspired and enlivened! Because our bodies are more than 70% water and water is such an excellent carrier of vibration, every cell in your body receives a gentle massage. Lunch to follow we will go to Chi-Tung. Cost: $20.00 per person.

Holy Thursday Mass and Church Tour - After Mass at St. Christina we will board a bus and visit 3-4 churches. At each stop we will say a decade of the rosary. Finishing the 5th decade at St. Christina’s if time permits. All are invited to attend.

Please help us as we support KIVA International, a program that Seeds of Faith micro loans other women of the world. We have now supported 25 women to help them open a business around the world.
